Hackworth, Albert Biography Biography
Albert Hackworth was born on 21 July 1853. He was the son of John Wesley Hackworth and Ann Hackworth (nee Turner). He married Esther Ann Williams on 1 March 1885 and they had one son (also called Albert) and three daughters. He appears to have worked alongside his father as some of John Wesley Hackworth’s patents feature his name, he was also a marine engineer in his own right. He died in 1904.

Esther Ann Williams was born in 1862. She married Albert Hackworth on 1 March 1885 and they had one son (also called Albert) and three daughters. She died in 1917.

His health, he is 31 years old; Samuel Holmes has come to visit 'he tells me one of the Young’s has recently made a fortune in the Straits Settlement and retired in the South of England and is writing a life of Timothy Hackworth' [Robert Young]; hopes that they are 'getting enough of everything during the scarcity of food in England'.
