    This series contains papers relating to the relationship between Charles Urban and Edward Raymond Turner. Turner was a pioneering British inventor and cinematographer who produced the earliest known colour motion film footage. Charles Urban provided financial support to Turner's early work with colour photography and cinematography. The papers in this series include technical diagrams, agreements between Turner and Urban, press cuttings, notes, correspondence and promotional materials relating to kinemacolour.

    These materials are all individually housed in melinex sleeves. Some of the paper correspondence is yellowed but there is no damage that would prevent handling for research use.
