Scope and ContentPapers are evidence of George Edward Young’s domestic, religious, and business life as well as his research and work to publicise his father in law and former colleague Timothy Hackworth. Early papers include a religious confession and a letter describing a Christmas hamper sent to the family by an admirer of his religious work. Later letters show his correspondence with newspapers and other individuals, including John Wesley Hackworth, who were active in campaigning for Timothy Hackworth’s recognition.
