Harris, Frank Rosslyn Biography Biography
Frank Harris was a College Apprentice with Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Co Ltd from 1938 to 1947. After serving his apprenticeship he went on to become an employee of Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Co Ltd, becoming Chief Engineer in the Large Steam Turbine Department, where he worked until he retired.

Rough notes for 'The first British-built Locomotive Gas Turbine' by F R Harris ACGI, BSc (Eng), FIMechE. Includes photographs to be included in the book, amongst them one of the "first flight engines" developed by Metroplitan-Vickers along with F.2 Engine and successor engines up to Ducted Fan F.3. Sectional Plan of G2/2 Naval Gas Turbine drawn in 1954.
