The microscope and its light source, the heating source and associated motors, the vice for holding the micro-instrument in position and to control its position in the field, and the base casing in which ancillary equipment is contained. Designed for Research. The microscope is lighted by an incandescent lamp of opalescent glass. The luminous rays enter the objective, of which the axis is horizontal. A prism deviates the rays 30? obliquely in an upward direction'.
