Scope and Content
A folder of documents relating to the design of offshore platforms and their equipment. This includes material relating to the stresses acting on equipment such as pipelines and nozzles, the effect of wave motion on floating process plant, fatigue guidelines, the effect of ship motions on the design of FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading Facilities) structural design and other stress and load related calculations. These relate to the MAS Alliance Curlew, AFA Schiehallion, Kerr-McGee North Sea (U.K.) Ltd Leadon Field Development, Shearwater and Belanak Field Development projects.

AMEC Process and Energy Limited, originally known as Mathew Hall Engineering (Manchester) Limited was an engineering and fabrication company that worked with the energy industry, both onshore and offshore, as well as the environmental water and utility industries. It was initially formed in June 1986 as a subsidiary of the Mathew Hall Group and therefore passed to AMEC Limited when they acquired the company in 1988. It would continue under its original name until 1992 when it became AMEC Process and Energy Limited. On 1st January 2000 the trade of the company was taken over by AMEC Capital Projects Limited and by 2001 it was registered as a dormant company.
