Bayer Global
Also known as Bayer CropScience is a chemical and pharmaceutical conglomerate who have research facilities and various companies dedicated to the advancement of crop biotechnology and agricultural sustainability. During the farm-scale trails of GM crops in England in the early 2000s, Bayer was a key supplier of contracts to farmers wishing to grown crops on their land.
Unlike Monsanto, Bayer Global did not pull out of Europe following the negative reports from the farm-scale trials and still has corporations working on research within the UK. Further to this, earlier this year Monsanto and Bayer annoced a merger of their companies as Bayer Global bought Monsanto, this could mean the reintorduction of Monsanto to the European market throught research and animal seed, which is still used within the UK.
