Institute of Grocery Distribution is a training and research charity for the food and grocery industry that undertakes research for the benefit of the public. They carry out research on food to help companies work in the most efficient way to deliver the needs of consumers and the public.
Their biggest aim is to help the industry improve the way it works by offering intelligence on shoppers and supply chains, along with on wider issues such as health, nutrition, sustainability and economics. Collaborating with retailers, manufacturers, primary producers and service providers helps to reach towards this aim alogn with making all thier research outputs publicly available for transparency.
