    This collection consists of manuscript and typescript notes on the design and production of radio, television and tape recording equipment. They include Technical and Progress Reports issued by EMI, employee records, job sheets, a workbook and section reports. The collection relates to the development and application of technology including magnetic tape recording equipment, television and radio receivers and transmitters, and turntables.

    The condition of this collection is good. The materials show little sign of damage and have been well housed by the Science Museum archives.

    This collection was donated to the Science Museum in 1987. The collection was then transferred to the National Media Museum in 2005.
