    Corporate film produced by Anvil Film and Recording Group Limited for GEC Transportation Projects Limited. The film presents the services offered by GEC TPL and details how projects would be conducted for the clients (from project planning, railway surveys, engineering and power studies, design work, choice of suppliers and contractors, to offer of training programs and assistance in preparation of financial proposals). The film concludes with a mention of completed and undergoing international projects (United Kingdom, Zimbabwe, Brazil, Mexico, Korea and Taiwan). The filming locations include Welwyn Garden city railway station and GEC TPL St Albans offices (prior 1981).

  • Physical description
    16 mm film prints (copy), colour, optical sound, stored in plastic canisters. These are acetate base films. In September 2016 they were tested with A-D strip as level 0 of deterioration (no deterioration). The general condition is fair, though the copies present some scratches. Colour and sound video on Fuji super HG E-30 VHS cassette, magnetic video tape in plastic cassette, stored in cardboard case. The general condition is fair. Wear cotton gloves when manipulating 16 mm copies. 16 mm requires specific equipment to be viewed such as 16mm editing bench or projector. 16 mm can also be unrolled with the help of a manual film coiler to look at frames with a magnifying glass and a light table, but this system won't allow to see footage in motion. VHS cassette can be viewed with a VHS player connected to a television screen or monitor.
