Bramah and Robinson Biography Biography
Bramah and Robinson of Exeter Lane, Pimlico, were civil engineers and founders. The company was established in 1837 when Charles Robinson joined Bramah and Co as partner, and the name changed to Bramah and Robinson. They worked on many engineering projects such as the Water Wheel Engine at Malpas Waterworks, iron work at Ashburnham Place, engineers and founders for heating of new wings and octagon towers of Hanwell Asylum and Morant Point Lighthouse. In 1842 Charles Robinson supplied warm water apparatus installation for Shire Hall, Bury St Edmunds and subsequently in 1843 Robinson's company became Robinson and Co. Bramah changed names and joined with many others over the years and is currently a lock manufacturer operating in London.

Collection of line and line and wash drawings illustrative of many aspects of civil and mechanical engineering including mills, presses, bridges, cranes, pumps, engines and boilers designed and constructed by Joseph Bramah, Bramah, J & Son, Bramah and Sons, Bramah and Robinson, Charles Robinson, Charles Robinson & Son.
