Moutray, J H Biography Biography
Born in 1919 and adopted by the Moutray family, Canadian John Howard Moutray was a pilot with the RAF in the Second World War, living in Withington, Manchester. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Medal and later, a Distinguished Flying Cross. In 1943 Moutray was signals leader of a Lancaster Bomber squadron. Moutray obtained the rank of Flight Lieutenant.

Photocopy of Flight Lieutenant Moutray's flying log book from when he started as a Leading Aircraftsman Air Gunner to Sergeant Gunnery Leader and eventually as a Commissioned Officer in the Royal Air Force.
