- Daily SketchBiographyBiography
The Daily Sketch was a tabloid newspaper. Founded in Manchester in 1909 by Edward Hulton, it was sold to Daily Mirror Newspapers in 1920. In 1925 Lord Rothermere sold it to William and Gomer Berry, and the paper was owned by a subsidiary of the Berrys' Allied Newspapers from 1928. The paper merged with The Daily Graphic in 1946. However, following the sale of the Daily Sketch to Associated Newspapers (publishers of The Daily Mail) in 1952, it resumed publication under its original name.
At its height, The Daily Sketch reached a circulation of 1.3 million readers. However, it struggled to compete throughout the 1950s and 1960s. In 1971 it ceased publication and was merged with The Daily Mail.

The company was based in Essex Street initially, before moving to Fleet Street. Much of the company's photographic archive was destroyed in a bombing raid in 1941. - Keystone Press AgencyBiographyBiography
The Keystone View Company established a press agency in London in 1918, also called Keystone View Company. It was run by Bert Garai and based at 12 Wine Office Court, Fleet Street until it moved to 4-7 Red Lion Court Fleet Street in the early 1940s. In 1938, the stamps on the back of their photographs changed from 'Keystone View Company' to 'Keystone Press Agency Ltd', although this name appears at least a decade before then. Keystone Press Agency became one of the leading press agencies on Fleet Street. Notable photographers employed by the company included Ron Case and Fred Ramage.
Keystone Press was acquired by Photo Source in the mid-1980s. The business closed in 1987. The Hulton-Deutsch Collection, now a part of Getty ImagesPhoto Source, subsequently acquired Photo Source.
