    Site plan showing part of the Beyer, Peacock & Co. Ltd site, originally the Tool Repairs and Motors section, given over to subsidiary company Anti-Attrition Metal Company Ltd. In 1958 Beyer, Peacock aquired the Anti-Attrition Metal Company Ltd in order to diversify away from just making locomotives. Anti-Attrition Metal Co. Ltd made specialist components for the aircraft, motor car and railway industries. Beyer, Peacock bought the company in 1957 and part of the manufacturing process was carried out at Gorton.
