Holton, Alfred Luddington Biography Biography
Alfred Holton was born in Hale in 1876. He worked for the City of Manchester Gas Department at the Bradford Road Gas works in the early 20th century. He died in 1950.

Scope and Content
Bound album of press cuttings and a small number of photographs of Mr & Mrs Holton covering a number of years. There are also some cuttings about Mr Holton's career at the Gas Department. The album contains a genealogical tree of the Holton family, as well as information on his father Mr John Holton, Headmaster at Rosemary Lane School, Lincoln. Also contains cuttings from a number of religious publications on moral and spiritual topics as well as news of services and celebrations being held at different churches.
