    Album of photographs taken by a PhD student at Manchester Polytechnic in the 1970s to provide evidence of the architectural structure of buildings and bridges around Greater Manchester, including images of the internal structure of the former yacht showroom on Whitworth Street West, later used for the Haçienda nightclub.

    Passed by the lecturer advising the PhD student who took the photographs to David George who, as Hon. Archivist of Manchester Region Industrial Archaeology Society, temporarily added the items to the MRIAS archive. Subsequently removed from the MRIAS archive following discussions with the Chairman of MRIAS and Mr. George. When the MRIAS archive was transferred to Chetham's Library, Mr. George placed the album on loan with the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI). At the end of the three year loan period, the album was donated to MOSI by Mr. George.
