Volume containing information related to various disciplines of engineering also advertisements for engineering equipment and various supplies, as well as a diary section. The pocket book was one of a series produced by the publisher to give to subscribers of the magazine 'The Practical Engineer.'

The volume is in a fair condition. The cover is damaged, with wear to the spine and the lower portion of the front cover missing. The pages have been 'thumbed', and the bottom right-hand corners are largely folded over or curled.

The pocket book was published by a local printing firm and was acquired by the donor's father in the course of his work.
