(Active 2013 -) Director of the Scientific Alliance Livermore trained as a chemist and spent much of his professional life working for companies in the food and agriculture sectors, such as Unilever, Dalgety and DuPont. As a freelance science communicator, he becomes actively involved in several key science policy issues, including climate change and its effect on biotechnology. Livermore also leads a module at University of Cambridge in Biotechnology Enterprise which covers agricultural and industrial biotechnology.
