Glyn Valley RailwayBiography Biography
Railway was built to connect the quarries at Glyn Ceriog with the Shropshire Union Canal at Chirk. The line opened in 1873, initially powered with horses. Passengers services began in 1874. Passenger trains ceased operating in 1933, with goods trains closing two years later.
