Seacombe, Hoylake & Deeside Railway CoBiography Biography
Formed as the Hoylake Railway Company in c1863. It became the Hoylake and Birkenhead Tramway Company in 1870, and then the Hoylake & Birkenhead Rail and Tramway Company in 1872. In 1881, the company became the Seacombe, Hoylake and Deeside Railway, following rail extentions. It was purchased by the Wirral Railway Company Ltd in 1884, although continued to operate as a separate company until being fully absorbed in 1891.
