Hull & Barnsley Railway CoBiography Biography
The Hull Barnsley & West Riding Junction Railway and Dock Company changed its name to the Hull & Barnsley Railway in 1905. It amalgamated with the North Eastern Railway Company in mid-1922, very shortly before Grouping. Most of the railway has now been abandoned save for a short section serving Drax power station and the high-level route around Hull.
