- AMEC Engineering LimitedBiographyBiography
AMEC Engineering Limited was established in 1962 as Matthew Hall Engineering Limited. This was part of the division of Matthew Hall and Co into multiple operating companies which would then form the Matthew Hall Group. These subsidiaries were Matthew Hall Mechanical Services, Matthew Hall Engineering, Matthew Hall Works and Plant.
The main focus of Matthew Hall Engineering Limited was the design and construction of oil, petroleum, petrochemical, pharmaceutical industrial and food processing plant. It would continue to do this even when it, along with the rest of the Matthew Hall Group, was acquired by AMEC PLC in 1988. In 1992 its name was changed to AMEC Engineering Limited and it began to operate on an agency basis for AMEC Process and Energy Limited. Both companies were declared dormant in 2001.
