QUIT Biography Biography
Established in 1926 as the National Society of Non Smokers, the group became known as QUIT following attainment of charitable status in 1983. Throughout its existence, the group engaged in a range of campaigns against smoking, and provided guidance and support for people wishing to stop smoking. The group dissolved in 2018.

Scope and Content
A folder of material relating to The National Society of Non Smokers Don't Smoke Day campaign. This includes cards promising not to smoke on the day, a leaflet of hints to help people stop smoking and correspondence relating to government support.
