- Scope and ContentThis volume includes reports for Anthony Lyon, driving for Charles Laws, fined 2/6 for bad language (p.2), John Morgan is fined 2/6d for carrying three girls and a man on his tender, a complaint by Mr Henry Stobart's agent against seven of the leaders or drivers "for refusing to bring Old etherly waggons away which were first on turn" (p.6), "August 11th, 1831, Robert Stephenson, William Vazey and Michael Howe left there Horses and Waggons Standing at Hagger Leas Brench and went into the Publick House and sat there upwards of 2 Houres, reported by George Stephenson and says it is very much practticed by them - 2/6 each" (p.8), "September 12th, 1831 John Snell went into the Ale House at Aycliffe Lane and left his Horse and Waggons standing upon the line about 9 aclock at Night without any light; when No. 9 Ingie came up and ran up against them, reported by Mr Hackworth" (p.16).
