- Scope and ContentDiary titled “Private Diary 1843, 1844, 1845, 2”. This is volume two of a set of diaries, the location of diary one is not known however there is a possibility that this is the diary held at the National Archives. This is a private diary that documents occurrences in Addison’s daily life. It documents private events such as going to church and visiting friends, his wedding and deaths in the family. The diary also includes accounts of his business activities involving the Maryport and Carlisle Railway, Caledonian Railway and other railway matters. He appears to be closely linked with other families related to the railway.
