The British National Committee for High Speed Photography was formed to coordinate British work on the subject and to liase with overseas interests. The first International Conference on High Speed Photography had been held in 1952. Im 1960 George (G.H.) Lunn became Honorary Secretary of the Committee, after speaking at their Spring Conference at the start of the same year. In 1966 the British National Commitee became the Association for High Speed Photography to widen membership.

George Lunn was involved with the British National Committee for High Speed Photography in London. He became honorary secretary of the committee in 1960.

Scope and Content
This collection contains minutes of meetings, correspondence and memos concerning the organisation, activities and conferences of the British National Committee for High Speed Photography, later the Association for High Speed Photography. The collection also includes some printed proceedings, presented to the International Congresses on High Speed Photography.

The collection was originally donated to the Science Museum in 1982. The collection was transferred to the National Media Museum in 2005.
