    Items in the collection are in good condition with expected wear and tear due to age, including presence of dust and dirt to folder and volume surfaces, scuffs to volume surfaces, creasing and folding to large format documents.

  • Archival history
    The donor worked at the Ferranti Aircraft Equipment Department on the oscillogyro development project from 1963-1969, during which time he created some of the records in the collection and compiled earlier records as reference material. The donor continued to receive records relating to the project in his role as consultant from 1969-1987, which he retained as reference material after his retirement from Ferranti International plc in 1991, in case he needed to provide further consultancy advice on future projects. The company did not seek to reclaim the collection after the donor's retirement.
