- Archival historyThe collection was maintained in the Marketing Department offices at PZ Cussons' Kersal Vale (Salford) site as a company record of its products. In 2007-2008 the business was preparing to relocate to new premises in Agecroft and needed to clear the Kersal Vale site. The collection could not be housed at the new premises or at the company headquarters in Stockport and was therefore offered to the museum.
