Computer manufacturer founded in 1954 by Jack Tramiel as the Commodore Portable Typewriter Company in Toronto. The company was formally incorporated as Commodore Business Machines, Inc. (CBM) in 1955. In 1962 Commodore went public on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), under the name of Commodore International Limited. The company declared bankruptcy in 1994.

Originally formed as Baxall Electronics Ltd as an electronics development company. In 1982 it was restructured as a manufacturing company specialising in design, production and marketing of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) products for security and surveillance.

Anagram systems was established in 1979 with the objective of creating high quality accounting and stock control software. Their first product was a Stock Control package, and this was followed by individual ledger packages. In 1982 the first in a range of integrated systems was launched, and Anagrams Stockmaster Stock Control System was introduced and then complemented by their IAS range of Integrated Accounting systems.
