The Garth Dawson Studio is a photography business based in Accrington, Lancashire. Founded in 1949 as Garth Dawson & Co, photographers and photo dealers, the company was initially based in a wooden hut on Church Street, Oswaldtwistle, before moving to Infant Street and then in 1967 to Bridge Street. Founder Garth Dawson worked at the Accrington Observer as a freelance photographer for more than 30 years and was known for his photographs of the local area. Upon his retirement in 1992, Reg Whittam took over the business. Whittam had joined the business in 1984, working alongside Dawson.
