Lane, E.T.Biography Biography
E.T. Lane was born c 1830. He was the son of Richard James Lane, Engraver and Lithographer. He is believed to have been a pupil at the Great Western Railway Works, Swindon in the late 1840s. He died in 1850 aged 20 years old.

Scope and Content
A volume of drawings by E.T. Lane of locomotives of various contemporary railway companies. Each drawing is dated and some have information about the locomotive depicted. The final drawings have also been coloured.
